The WCPS Birth Academy Community Birth School is a culturally rooted midwifery education program guided by the time-honored Ancient Art Midwifery (AAM) curriculum—a respected foundation for those seeking to become skilled, traditional midwives. What sets us apart is our deep commitment to community care and support, especially for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students, who often face unique barriers on the midwifery path.
This program is designed to be completed over 36 months [not including the time you need to take to earn your hands-on birth skills with a trained midwife], blending virtual learning and in-person experiences, to build a community of like-minded people that can share space and learn together.
